Teen Crisis & Runaway Program

Supervise and interact with youth staying in our emergency youth shelter and assist staff with the crisis hotline, resident group sessions, and intake assessments. Volunteer and internship placements are available for adults able to commit to at least 4-5 hours per week for a roughly 17-week season. Recruitment and onboarding is ongoing, with comprehensive trainings conducted in January, May, and August.

As a high school student (14-18 years old), volunteer at our emergency youth shelter to assist homeless and runaway youth. Provide support between teen shelter residents as a positive peer figure, assist with recreational activities, show friendship, and lend an open ear.

Family Support & Empowerment Program
Each year the Family Support & Empowerment Program offers a facilitator training to community members who are interested in volunteering to facilitate a Nurturing Program group. Offered in January, this nationally certified two-day “hands on” training includes activities, lectures and group discussion. The training is free to volunteers.
